Dear Dan,

    I hope and trust that this message actually gets to you.  As you know - 
at least through Lori - your paper on "Does God Command Birth Control" was 
resubmitted and was accepted for publication.  This is my fourth message to 
you with that information.  The first two messages - one in July and the 
second in early October - did not require a reply - they simply informed you 
about the status of the paper.  The third, however, did ask specific 
information from you, and thus my concern.  A major contribution to this 
balagan was my own retirement and relocation from my study in the synagogue 
to home.  A number of emails and a few documents got misplaced.  I can see 
as well that your e-address was corrupted.  Usually one gets feedback that a 
message cannot be delivered.  In this case, however, I received no such 
error message, and therefore did not think anything was amiss, except now I 
want to organize an issue for publication, and therefore need to be in touch 
with authors.
    The saga of your paper is thoroughly convoluted.  As you know, the 
initial verdict was to deem the article too academic for the Journal.  In 
the process of my move from the synagogue to a home office, the article 
became incorrectly attached to a different author, and sent out a second 
time.  The new reviewer was particularly enthusiastic.  I duly informed the 
person whose name had been attached to the paper, who then told me it was 
not his submission.  The acknowledgement you gave to Lori Cohen served, as 
you know, to establishing you and Karljurgen as the co-authors.
    What I need now is simply bio lines for you and Karljurgen.  If the copy 
editor has any questions that I cannot handle, I will be in touch. 
Otherwise, the next time you will hear from me is when I send out a copy of 
typeset galley for proofing.
